Ribbed Roof Mantapa

A quieter mantapa under a roof of stacked, rounded ribs.

The roof is the event: three tiers of rounded ribs, like a temple shikhara reduced to furniture. Below it, four turned pillars, a low railing, a plain back, and one drawer. The carving is held back so the wood and the roof do the work.

• Stacked ribbed roof
• Four turned pillars
• Low side railing
• Open sanctum
• Single drawer

Shown as carved. The design can be drawn again for your room, deity, and finish.
